Whistler House Museum of Art Members Exhibit

I just found out that my oil painting, Sophia, has been accepted into this year's Whistler House Museum of Art Annual Juried Members Exhibit. The show will include a variety of works by artist members of the Whistler House Museum of Art and Lowell Art Association, and runs from November 19th through January 17th with a reception on November 22nd from 2-4pm. For more information, see http://www.whistlerhouse.org/.

Award at WHMA Members Exhibition

I am so thrilled that my colored pencil drawing Elise was announced the Winner of the Edith Burger Award for Artistic Excellence at last night's reception for the Whistler House Museum of Art Members Exhibition! Above is a photo of me by the piece, as well as my wonderful model, my sister, Elise.

I also had an oil painting accepted into the exhibit, Father and Son, pictured above with my other two wonderful models, my husband and son.

Two Pieces Accepted into WHMA Exhibit

I am honored to have two pieces accepted into this year's Whistler House Museum of Art Juried Member Exhibition: my colored pencil portrait Elise, and oil painting Father and Son. WHMA Annual Members Exhibition

I just found out that my portrait Danny has been accepted into the 2012 Whistler House Museum of Art Annual Members Exhibition.  I look forward to this exhibition every year, as the Whistler House is a beautiful venue, and the members and staff are all very nice. The Whistler House is located in Lowell, MA, and the show runs from November 15th through December 29th. Whistler Award

I attended the reception for the Whistler House Museum of Art Members Exhibition yesterday, and found out that my portrait of Nick won the Whistler Award! Above is a photo of me with my piece. December Happenings

I may not be blogging as much, but I have been working on a couple things (in addition to Christmas shopping!) I finished my portrait of Caitlyn, and I have a couple of commissions in the works. Also, I will be doing a new still life in oil, which I hope to post by early January! Finally, Ethan remains on display at the Whistler House Museum of Art through December 30th.

WHMA Reception

The Whistler House Museum of Art Annual Members Exhibition reception yesterday was a wonderful event, and I was thrilled to be awarded third place for my portrait Ethan, shown above. The exhibition includes a variety of works in oil, pastel, mixed media and sculpture, including Mary Rose O'Connell's stunning piece, A Winter Landscape, which was awarded first place. The show continues through December 30th at the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, MA.

Exhibition in Lowell

The Whistler House Museum of Art 2009 Annual Members Exhibition commences this Saturday, November 21st with a reception from 2:00-4:00. My piece Resolute will be on display, along with a variety of other artists' work in oil, watercolor, mixed media, and more. Regular museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday 11am-4pm, and the exhibit runs through December 31st.
