Colored Pencil Drawing in Progress
I've done a bit more on my drawing of children at a piano recital. You can see that the chair on the left is more dull than the chair on the right, due to "wax bloom". Over time, the wax in the colored pencils rises to the surface, creating a grayish cast that is especially obvious with darker colors. I will remedy this by gently wiping the surface and spraying with a workable fixative.

What paper are you using? I may have missed it in your description. It is difficult to keep the wax bloom off. Thanks for the tip on the workable fixative. Nice piece!
Thanks for the comments everyone. I am using Fisher paper. The wax bloom doesn't seem to come off completely; the pigment still appears darkest when first applied, but perhaps after the final coat of fixative it will look better.
